Round 3, Challenge 7: Results

The Winner of Challenge 6 of Round 3 of rwhg_ldws is shocolate who wrote "Audere est Facere". Congratulations! :D

This weeks's Mod's Choice I'm giving to lauryne78 because I loved how Ron wanted to make Hermione laugh properly and how it turned bitter in a moment of anger. I also loved how laughter was so important to him but how it had turned against him during their anonymity.

The bit that sucks is that one participant has to leave the competition. This week, the participant with the lowest score is brumeux77. Thank you for participating.

Next week's challenge will be up when I've drunk a very cold cider in this wonderful heat and the voting post will be amended to show who wrote what. Banners are in the box.net widget below. Thank you to all who voted.

Round 3, Challenge 8: Prompt

The Challenge:

Laughter

Laughter is needed in any relationship to keep it balanced, however not all laughter is kind or happy. This week it's a simple prompt of laughter but I'm not necessarily asking for a humorous or happy drabble. You can if you want make it fluffy or happy or funny of course, any genre is fine, I'm just not being specific. Because there's only 5 of you left, I'd like quite long drabbles but i"m not going to be too mean, 400 - 500 words, please.

Prompt: Laughter | Word Count: 400 - 500 words | Other Conditions: None

Participants:
brumeux77, lauryne78, maybe1ce, miss_daizy, shocolate

Please note, now there are less then 7 participants, skips are now no longer allowed.

The Rules:
• Drabbles should be between 400 and 500 words long
• Drabbles should be rated anything up to R. Please no NC-17 ratings
• Please submit your drabbles as a comment to this post, using the code below.
• Closing date for submissions is 23:59 Thursday 20th May 2010 (GMT London)

Round 3, Challenge 7: Results

The Winner of Challenge 6 of Round 3 of rwhg_ldws is maybe1ce who wrote "This Indecision's Bugging Me...". Congratulations! :D

This weeks's Mod's Choice I'm giving to miss_daizy because I loved how the two of them were trying to be subtle and failing miserably. Plus rubbish!timing!Harry is always worth a giggle.

The bit that sucks is that one participant has to leave the competition. This week, the participant with the lowest score is scribhneoir1. Thank you for participating.

Next week's challenge will be up when I've decided what it's going to be and the voting post will be amended to show who wrote what. Banners are in the box.net widget below. Thank you to all who voted.

Also, thank you for bearing with me until today :)

So sorry for not posting anything today, it was my niece's christening and I was expecting to be able to do everything tonight... Well, after an afternoon of drinking at the reception not only do I have a headache through dehydration we still have guests so I'm unable to do anything now. (iPod touch ftw!) I'll sort everything tomorrow, promise.

Apologies, but it's not everyday you become a a godmother!

Ta, Step ;)

Round 3, Challenge 7: Prompt

May. 9th, 2010 | 03:16 pm
posted by: thesteppyone in rwhg_ldws

The Challenge:

Indecision

After the madness that has been British Politics this week, I thought I'd mirror that in this week's prompt. Our favourite couple can be indecisive about anything you want but I'm going to be mean, yet again with the format. I want two 100 word drabbles, one from Ron's point of view and one from Hermione's point of view, both about the same indecisiveness. There's no need for separate headings/titles, just an obvious break between the two. Does that make sense? Feel free to ask me anything if it's not.

Prompt: Indecision | Word Count: 2 x 100 words | Other Conditions: 2 drabbles, one Ron POV, one Hermione POV

Participants:
brumeux77, lauryne78, maybe1ce,
miss_daizy, scribhneoir1, shocolate

Please note, now there are less then 7 participants, skips are now no longer allowed.

The Rules:
• Both drabbles should be 100 words long
• Drabbles should be rated anything up to R. Please no NC-17 ratings
• Please submit your drabbles as a comment to this post, using the code below.
• Closing date for submissions is 23:59 Thursday 6th May 2010 (GMT London)

The Winner of Challenge 6 of Round 3 of rwhg_ldws is shocolate who wrote "A Very Lucky Boy". Congratulations! :D

This weeks's Mod's Choice I'm giving to lauryne78 because I loved how hermione came to the realisation that Ron would always get a reaction out of her but she was still annoyed with herself that she hadn't managed to control it.

The bit that sucks is that one participant has to leave the competition. This week, the participant with the lowest score is the_birdnest. Thank you for participating.

Round 3, Challenge 6: Prompt

May. 2nd, 2010 | 11:35 am

posted by: thesteppyone in rwhg_ldws

The Challenge:

One Line

This week there is no prompt because I'm looking for a specific format to the drabble and don't want to come across as a bitch mean in more than one way! This week's drabble will only have one line of dialogue - defined as one sentance or part of - and it must either be the opening or the closing line. The rest of the drabble, therfore, must only be descriptive or narrative with no other dialogue in it. There is no specific word limit because I'm nice... *grins*

Prompt: One Line | Word Count: 100 - 500 | Other Conditions: One line of dialogue as the opening or closing line of the drabble

Participants:
brumeux77, lauryne78*, maybe1ce*, miss_daizy*,
scribhneoir1*, shocolate, the_birdnest*, willow_wand*

*participant has used their skip.

The Rules:
